Nov. 21--Leticia Reyes clutches her shopping bag like a prized trophy and bolts through the aisles of Miami's Dolphin Mall with a triumphant grin.

Inside the bulky bag lies a jacket from Wilsons Leather. Not just any jacket, but a cowhide zip-up that Reyes snagged for $250 -- half the price she almost paid a few weeks ago at a department store.

This holiday season, South Florida shoppers like Reyes are discovering outlet malls as an alternative to traditional malls and stores. Bargains abound for those who know how to navigate these indoor emporiums and uncover a good deal.

"Shop around, compare prices and quality before you go to the outlets so you'll know a real bargain when you see one," suggests Karin Nemetz, executive director of the Outlet Retailers' Marketing Association on her website.
