Nov. 20--The day after the infamous slow-speed chase in 1994 of O.J. Simpson in his white Ford Bronco, a major broadcaster was on the phone to Electrophysics Corp., a 40-person company in Fairfield.
Turns out that the TV producers were livid they had missed a key shot: Simpson sat in his car until darkness fell and then slipped unseen into his Brentwood mansion in California.
Camera operators hovering overhead in helicopters weren't equipped with something Electrophysics sold: night-vision gear for TV cameras.
Electrophysics hadn't begun its corporate life selling night-vision equipment -- or the sophisticated infrared and thermal imaging technology it now sells to the military and commercial customers.
