WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. _ Even bad shots couldn't slow her down.

Sweden's Annika Sorenstam blocked a 7-wood so far right at the ninth hole Friday at the ADT Championship, she thought it was lost and unplayable and dropped another ball to hit a provisional. A group of fans, however, waved promisingly, assuring her the ball was in play.

When Sorenstam got over there, her mother, Gunilla, was standing near the ball.

"Are you trying to hit me?" Gunilla asked.
