TALLAHASSEE _ Do you know what the Florida-Florida State rivalry lacks, other than a path to a national title this year?

It lacks a handshake.

That's a simple gesture, right? A handshake? And it's a common denominator of any game in any sport at any level. No matter how high the stakes or heated the emotions, the handshake serves as a symbol of sportsmanship.

But in their last meeting, as these teams left the field, instead of reaching a hand to the other side Florida and Florida State players balled them into a fist and began swinging. Some swung helmets. Even more traded curses.
