Nov. 19--The "playing fields" of Route 3 in the town of Watertown could become battlefields for two developers competing for many of the same tenants after a second proposal for a large retail complex there emerged Thursday.

As the town of Watertown Planning Board heard public comments regarding a Final Environmental Impact Statement, or FEIS, submitted by Cor Development Co. LLC for a 426,000-square-foot retail complex on Route 3, an official of the company that owns Salmon Run Mall told the Planning Board his firm will soon be submitting its own plans for new retail...
