Nov. 19--CANTON, N.Y. -- The St. Lawrence County Industrial Development Agency is taking Tamarack Tree Service to state Supreme Court, seeking repayment of approximately $300,000 in loans that were used to buy and refurbish the former cogeneration facility on Lincoln Street.

In addition to Tamarack Tree Service, the suit names the associated companies of Tamarack Clearing, Tamarack Forestry Service and their owners Matthew M. Randi and his wife, Linda L. Bessette-Randi.

The IDA turned over the deed of the building to the couple in the summer to help with the sale of the building and to limit the agency's liability. Tamarack remained responsible...
