Nov. 19--The Rockwall City Council backed away this week from a proposal to force RV owners to shield the vehicles from their neighbors' view.

Council members told the city staff to rewrite the rules to require screening only from public streets. RVs more than 8 feet tall would have to be stored within the building lines of residential lots, essentially keeping them away from the property lines.
