Nov. 19--Texas businesses created 23,600 new jobs in October - the largest monthly gain in a year, the Texas Workforce Commission said Thursday.
The state's unemployment rate, though, increased to 5.6 percent from 5.5 percent.
Dallas' jobless rate improved in October, falling to 5.5 percent from the previous month's 5.7 percent, while the Fort Worth-Arlington rate dipped to 5 percent from 5.2...
