TEMPE, Ariz. _ The cameras zoom in on quarterback Josh McCown, and he says all the right things about throwing for just 90 yards in the Cardinals' victory Sunday over the New York Giants.
"If you tell me I'm going to have those numbers, and we're going to win the next seven games, I'd take it in a heartbeat because this team is more important than my numbers."
Then the red lights turn off and McCown tells the truth.
"I have to play better," he says quietly. "That's not a secret. I don't walk around here thinking that how I'm playing is OK just because we're winning."
