A railroad employee who was diagnosed with carpal tunnel syndrome was denied compensation because he waited too long to bring the case to court.
Robert Campbell was a rail car repairman for Grand Trunk Western Railroad Company's car shop in Port Huron, Mich., from 1970 to 1995.
He left Grand Trunk just weeks before it closed the Port Huron shop, which was sold to PDS Rail Car Services Corporation. The shop reopened in 1996 and PDS hired many of the former Grand Trunk employees, including Campbell.
Campbell was diagnosed with CTS in 1998. He filed a lawsuit under the Federal Employers' Liability...
