Nov. 18--Airports operated by the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, including Newark Liberty International, will not convert their federal passenger-screening force to privately employed workers, officials said Wednesday.
The decision comes a day before airports are allowed to apply to the Transportation Security Administration to make the switch.
