NEW ORLEANS _ You wouldn't want to use this game for one of those "The-NBA-is-fantastic" promos. In fact, this game was a reminder of how much of the NBA plays regularly at a wagon-train pace. And yet it was OK with the Suns, who methodically took apart the Hornets, 95-84, at New Orleans Arena on Wednesday night.
The Suns were forced to play at a grind-it-out tempo, yet they still
looked like they'd easily break the 100-point barrier until they ran out of gas in the waning moments. They did so thanks to 53 percent shooting, with a host of hoops coming on virtually uncontested dunks by Amare Stoudemire, who tied his career high with 38 points.
