Nov. 9--Delta Air Lines said Monday it expects to squeeze at least $29 million in annual cost savings from vendors and suppliers, but warned that it needs to find more cash in a little over a year.
The Atlanta-based airline, which recently averted an immediate bankruptcy filing by pledging billions' worth of assets in financing deals and reaching a tentative contract with its pilots union, said it must come up with an additional $135 million in funding by early 2006.
