CHICAGO _ For more than an hour here Sunday morning, Aaron Robinson, Jeff Hagen and Brent Lawson sat at a round table near the center of a large hotel ballroom. But the University of Minnesota senior basketball players couldn't have been further from the center of attention.
They spent most of their time staring, quietly, at a cream-colored tablecloth, as if isolated amid the buzz of reporters and players from other Big Ten Conference teams chatting it up all around them during the league's annual media day. Only occasionally would a reporter stop to talk to the three Gophers, and usually it was a brief interview.
