GRAND PRAIRIE, Texas _ Ghostzapper's trainer, Hall of Famer Bobby Frankel, went into Saturday's races with a 2-for-57 record in Breeders' Cup competition.

He then saw five horses lose in three races before his coup in the main event, when Ghostzapper won the Classic. The previous two years, Frankel had sent out now-retired Medaglia d'Oro to finish second in the Classic-behind Volponi in 2002 at Arlington Park and behind Pleasantly Perfect in 2003 at Santa Anita.
