Google's executives announced they're adding a service called Keyhole to their growing collection of slick features.
You might have seen Keyhole during the early days of the Iraq war. Television stations showed amazing satellite animations in which the camera appeared to descend from high above the planet and swoop down to the surface where it would fly a speedy beeline across the terrain, showing every detail.
Google doesn't offer consumers spy agency-quality stuff here, but what ordinary citizens do get is quite a trip.
