Oct. 18--A new study has found that a majority of women who suffer from the puzzling pain malady of fibromyalgia found significant relief by taking the antidepressant Cymbalta, made by Eli Lilly and Co.

The Indianapolis drugmaker released results Sunday that show "very striking" reductions in pain among most of the patients who took Cymbalta during the 12-week study, said Dr. Lesley M. Arnold, an associate professor of psychiatry at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine.
