Bill Cosby should take his show on the road.
The comedian, author and philanthropist caused quite a stir last week at a dinner commemorating the Supreme Court decision in Brown vs. Board of Education.
"Ladies and gentlemen," he told a black-tie audience. "The lower economic people are not holding up their end in this deal. These people are not parenting. They are buying things for kids _ $500 sneakers for what? And won't spend $200 for `Hooked on Phonics.' "
Cosby had words, according to news reports, for criminals, too _ and those who would defend them.
