May 29--From October to April, Marc Oken and his staff plotted the integration of Bank of America Corp. and FleetBoston Financial Corp. Now it's time to execute the plan.

In the next few months, the bank will take some of the most noticeable steps in the integration. From August to December, the Charlotte-based bank will unveil its red-and-blue signs in the Northeast and distribute rebranded credit and debit cards. The company also will start to merge brokerage and mutual-fund operations in the coming months.
