In late 2001, major league baseball will again face the serious threat of a strike or lockout. So far, hard-line baseball owners and executives of the Major League Baseball Players Association seem to be in denial about the seriousness of the problem.
And, as always, those who will be most hurt by another labor dispute are the baseball fans and support workers such as food vendors, ticket takers and people with businesses near the ballparks.
It's up to fans to do their part by getting in contact with the various powers on both sides.
Would you please print names and mailing addresses for the Players Association headquarters and the owners' negotiator? Perhaps a mass mailing to them and to the owners and player representatives of the individual teams can help avert disaster.
