SEATTLE _ The New York Yankees' slow start, compounded by problems at the back end of their pitching rotation, compounded by George Steinbrenner's Bossiness, is already fueling trade rumors.
Pittsburgh's Kris Benson and Milwaukee's Ben Sheets are two of the names mentioned; Brewers general manager Doug Melvin said he hasn't been contacted by the Yankees and added he's "not motivated to trade Ben right now."
Nor should he be, considering the Yankees' depleted farm system and the fact that Sheets, 25, is their best starting pitcher and making a livable $2.425 million.
