Serious implications flow from a new study linking antibiotic use with a 100 percent increased risk of breast cancer. For perspective, the increased risk of breast cancer from hormone replacement therapy found in the Women's Health Initiative study--which unsettled doctors and patients alike--represented only a 20 percent higher risk.
