It sounds suspiciously like the same old story.
On Wednesday, a Los Angeles judge declared a mistrial in the case of a white policeman accused of assaulting a black teen-ager during an arrest. The jury said it was hopelessly deadlocked at a 7-5 vote (in favor of the prosecution) and couldn't reach a verdict.
All this despite a videotape, taken by a bystander, showing former Inglewood police officer Jeremy Morse slamming 16-year-old Donovan Jackson onto the trunk of a patrol car and punching him while the teen was handcuffed.
