Byline: Jeff Miller
MIAMI _ He ran for 1,853 yards, most in the NFL.
He ran for 16 touchdowns, most in Miami Dolphins history.
He ran all the way to Hawaii, where he ran some more, earning Pro Bowl MVP.
Then Ricky Williams went to work.
"Spent time improving myself," he said of an offseason that featured only two weeks off. "I worked on being more responsible and acting like a professional. I don't think I thought about football once. I grew up."
Don't worry, Dolphins fans, Williams' mind might not have focused on this game, but his body never wandered a bit, which is why he has opened his second Miami camp as lean and strong as ever. Or as rookie linebacker Eddie Moore said when asked for a first impression of Williams, "He's like a giant ball of muscle running at you."
