Siemens Mobile wins E84m MegaFon network contract.(Brief Article)

MegaFon has commissioned Siemens Mobile to expand its mobile phone network into the Volga and Ural regions of Russia in deal worth E84m.
Siemens Mobile will supply the planned GSM network with switching and transmission technology. In addition, Siemens mobile will also supply an intelligent network (IN) platform for new accounting systems and a GPRS network extension.
With this development, MegaFon, Russia's third largest mobile operator, ups its network capacity and creates the necessary space for its upcoming growth plans next year.
