If you're in the mood for romantic fiction, allow me to suggest the many Web sites where people describe their own wonderfulness in hopes that other people of equal wonderfulness will seek them out for companionship. Once both parties discover that they're soul mates, they will snuggle, take long walks on the beach and enjoy each other's sense of humor happily ever after. At least, that's the implied promise.
Given the generosity with which people describe themselves, such Web sites are an embarrassment of riches. There's not a selfish, greedy, spiteful or narcissistic human being among the bunch. Instead, everyone is sensitive (in the spirit of the age), ready for a new adventure (read: I'm not doing anything next Saturday) and further self-described by limitless other adjectives (kind, loving, honest, sincere, etc.).
