Three Palestinian terror groups have agreed to halt attacks on Israel for three months. Meanwhile, Israeli and Palestinian officials have struck a deal for the withdrawal of Israeli forces from parts of the Gaza Strip. Encouraging as these two agreements are, no reasonable person can afford to be optimistic about their prospects. What people do have a right to expect, however, is that, having signed these agreements, the parties will do their best to make them stick.
