Jun. 27--SCANDIA, Kan.--Another flood, this time in the form of paperwork, is ahead as storm-damaged Republic County and some of its neighbors team up to ...ualify for federal disaster assistance.
Gov. Kathleen Sebelius and an entourage surveyed some of the damage Thursday and unveiled plans in front of more than 50 people at a press conference in Scandia.
Her appearance came four days after a large storm socked a number of north-central Kansas communities and made the Republican River a mile wide upstream from Scandia.
