Jun. 26--Herald Managing Editor Mark Seibel has been named managing editor/international at the Washington bureau of Knight Ridder, The Herald's parent company.

Seibel, who has been with The Herald for 19 years, will supervise foreign and national security coverage for the media company's 32 newspapers, including The Herald and El Nuevo Herald, starting in September.
