Andreas Otto is executive board member in charge of sales and marketing at Lufthansa Cargo. He joined the company in 2000 after six years with Rhenus A.G., a German logistics firm, where he also was responsible for marketing and sales.

Q. In a recent speech, you said airlines must persuade forwarders to pay their bills faster. How do you think this can be accomplished?

A. A working group consisting of forwarders and airlines, including Lufthansa Cargo and Air France, has been established to work on this issue. The forwarders associations will also be included.
