What do the National Rifle Association and the National Organization for Women have in common?
What if I told you they were both opposed to a major change in public policy engineered by the Bush administration _ and both equally powerless to stop it? Yes, even the guys with guns aren't getting their way.
I can almost hear a chorus chanting from both ends of the political spectrum: "It's about time. Special-interest groups already have too much power."
But before you echo that thought, maybe it's time to stop and take notice of what's expected to happen Monday at the Federal Communications Commission unless groups like the NRA and NOW and their allies in Congress manage to stop it.
