CLEVELAND _ White Sox manager Jerry Manuel wasn't around for the end of this debacle.

Neither was third-base coach Bruce Kimm. Both were ejected after criticizing home-plate umpire Mark Wegner's strike zone, which appeared to vary from hitter to hitter.

Magglio Ordonez lasted all nine innings Friday night in Chicago's 7-3 loss to Cleveland. But he might have wished he hadn't.

"This was the worst game I've ever seen in my life," Ordonez said.

Because of the umpiring? The rain that fell the entire night?

"The worst game I've ever seen," he said. "That's it."
