May 23--EDWARDSVILLE, Ill.--Property tax revenue for schools, 250 jobs, a $65 million distribution center: all this and chocolate too.

Hershey Foods has announced it will build a 1.1 million-square-foot Midwestern Distribution Center in the Gateway Commerce Center shared by Edwardsville and Pontoon Beach.

"This is the next key step in optimizing our U.S. distribution network," said Bill Turner, Hershey`s vice president of logistics and customer service.
