May 22--One year ago, Mary and Dan Cerny thought they'd solved a problem.

They both had been teaching in the Osborne School District for a year, and when it came time for budget cuts, they lost their contracts, since they were some of the newest hires, Dan said. They moved to Salina, where Mary landed a job teaching Title I math at Schilling Elementary School, and Dan got a math job Salina South High School.

Now, a mere year later, they're in a similar situation.
