May 21--Last week's Electronic Entertainment Expo was the gaming industry's sneak peak at what Christmas will be like in the video game stores. We predict there's going to be a whole lot of buyin' going on.
The graphics on many of the games we saw at huge exhibits in the Los Angeles Convention Center blew our socks off. Grass blew in the wind, water ripples perfectly reflected the scenery, lights swung when we hit them and sent shadows dancing accurately -- and that was all in a shoot-'em-up.
