Vegetarians have a significantly longer life span than people who eat lots of meat, according to a new study. Scientists divided 1,900 participants into three groups:
* vegans, who abstain from all animal products;
* vegetarians, who eat eggs and dairy products but not fish, poultry or meat; and
* moderate vegetarians--those who may occasionally eat meat and fish.
