Aug. 12--Cheesecake fans are counting the weeks until they can whip out their forks and tuck napkins into their collars at SouthPark mall.

Well-known restaurant chain The Cheesecake Factory is on track to open its first N.C. location there in November.

The restaurant, all 12,000 square feet of it, will grace the new main entrance under construction off Sharon Road. From Sharon Road facing the mall, the restaurant will be to the left of the remodeled entrance, which should be finished some time this week, said mall manager Randy Thomas.
