To wit, check the Yellow Pages for names, call three, ask for bids, obtain references, and get ready to sign the checks.
As I have discovered, the Yellow Pages simply afford an opportunity for both good and not-so-good contractors to advertise. They don't say whether the contractors are reliable or, because they have telephone numbers, whether they'll automatically call you back.
