SEATTLE _For a while, it looked as if the Indians would make life as difficult for the Mariners as they did for the Athletics, who dropped 2-of-3 to the Tribe earlier in the week.
But one big inning sunk C.C. Sabathia and Sean DePaula, as Seattle rallied from five back to earn a 10-6 win Thursday night.
Matt Lawton did his best to help the Tribe build a big lead, contributing a single, double and a three-run homer.
He also walked and scored three runs.
Ellis Burks drove in Lawton with a single in the first inning against Joel Pineiro, who gave up the three-run blast to Lawton in the second inning.
