ARLINGTON, Texas _ Newly acquired Todd Hollandsworth will have the honor of being the seventh starting center fielder the Texas Rangers have used this season.
If the Rangers fulfill their promise of playing him at all three outfield positions, he would be the ninth different starting left fielder and the sixth to start in right field. The closest thing the Rangers have had to a regular in the outfield is Juan Gonzalez, who has started 61 times in right.
In center field, Calvin Murray started the most games _24 _ and he hasn't been here in a month and a half. Kevin Mench, who was an afterthought in spring training, is the leader in left field with 33 starts. Carl Everett has started at least 10 games ineach of the three spots.
