BILOXI, Miss. _ An open letter to John Henry Williams, The Accidental Rookie Leaguer and son of the late, great Ted Williams, who died Friday at the age of 83:

Stop the insanity.

Find your dignity.

Most of all, don't besmirch your father's memory any further.

John Henry Williams, in case you haven't heard, arranged for his father's body to be flown to Scottsdale, Ariz., where the Alcor Life Extension Foundation practices the ridiculous concept known as cryonics.
