An informal tasting by four serious coffee drinkers.

Starbucks Frappuccino. $1.39 per 9.5-ounce bottle. Six flavors. 190 to 200 calories, and 93 milligrams caffeine (see note) per 9.5-ounce serving. The Caramel was almost as milky as Folgers; the Mocha lacked the expected Starbucks coffee bite. The Original was sweet and creamy and one person's favorite. Another thought it too sweet.

Starbucks DoubleShot. $1.99 per 6.5-ounce can. 140 calories and 121 milligrams caffeine per 6.5-ounce serving. Strongest coffee taste. Also the least sweet. One person's favorite.
