PEMBROKE PINES, Fla. _ A Florida woman was killed Sunday night after hurricane panels stored in a garage fell on her, police said.
Ovenia Ragin, 45, was found around 4:55 p.m. in the garage of the Pembroke Pines home she shared with her husband.
Willie Ragin told detectives he arrived home to find his wife injured and unconscious on the garage floor. She was lying next to a stack of collapsed galvanized metal hurricane panels and had injuries to her chest.
She was taken to Memorial Regional Hospital where she was pronounced dead.
