DETROIT _ The Tigers' puny offense was its usual non-productive self Sunday, which resulted in yet another loss.
The Pirates took an early lead and cruised to a 6-2 victory over the Tigers, who finished the month of June 7-20 _ the team's worst June since it went 8-24 in 1975.
The Tigers have scored 289 runs this season, fewest in the majors. "It puts a lot of pressure on a pitcher when they aren't getting many runs to work with," manager Luis Pujols said.
