Jun. 30--Development in Las Vegas continues at a fervent pace with no end in sight, but the town needs to diversify its economy and provide a more technically skilled work force to move to the next level, Tim Snow says.
Snow is president of Thomas & Mack Development Group, a major player in the Las Vegas commercial real estate market.
An affiliate of Thomas & Mack Co., the group has developed more than 1.7 million square feet of office, industrial and retail space in the valley.
The company's portfolio includes McCarran Center, a 100-acre master-planned office park just south of McCarran International Airport; Las Vegas Technology Center, another 100-acre business park under construction at Smoke Ranch Road and Buffalo Drive; Blue Diamond Ranches, a 70-acre industrial and retail center going up at Blue Diamond Road and Decatur Boulevard; Eastgate Plaza, an 80,000-square-foot office complex in Henderson; and Nevada Financial Center, a 12-story office building in Las Vegas.
