He has had several stints in the major leagues, a far cry from this level. But it doesn't matter to Laker that he's at the Class A level _ he's just happy to be playing baseball again.

Laker had a solid season at Cleveland's Class AAA affiliate in Buffalo in 2001 and was called up to Cleveland where he appeared in 16 games. He seemed a lock to be back at the major league level in 2002, backing up starting catcher Einar Diaz.
