FORT WORTH, Texas _ The printed-word sports media was pounding hard on the computer keys last week, throwing around newly developed "muscle mass. How exactly did some of us suddenly became so, well ... so "big, fast, strong and aggressive?

The spoken-word sports media, meanwhile, "bulked up almost overnight, and with "rage in their eyes, and in their voices, my suspicions were basically confirmed.

Steroids.

It's a performance-enhancing topic for all media mutants, even those fraternity members with _ and I'm quoting the steroid experts here _ "testicle shrinkage" when it normally comes to controversy.
