CLEMSON, S.C. _ In a perfect world, Clemson baseball coach Jack Leggett and East Carolina baseball coach Keith LeClair would dance in the streets of Omaha, Neb., together at the College World Series later this month, chasing national championship dreams for their teams.

But the world is not perfect.

And, this weekend, LeClair is relegated to a recliner in a white van beyond the Clemson dugout at Clemson's Kingsmore Stadium. He is unable to speak with his players or assistant coaches as he fights an incurable disease.
