"Dying to Please" is a typical Linda Howard book _ it somehow blends murder and romance with snappy dialogue and witty banter between the hero and heroine.
But then you get to page 224.
Part of what made the murders in Howard's previous two books tolerable was that the hero stuck by the heroine. He comforted, protected _ loved unconditionally and devotedly.
Cahill blows it big time on page 224, when he harbors doubts for about 11 pages and thinks Sarah is the murderer. During that time, not only does he abandon her to suffer alone but compounds her misery by allowing her to recognize his suspicions. Definitely ...
