Apr. 27--FARR SUPPORTS HOUSING FUND: Rep. Sam Farr, D-Carmel, has announced his support for a national movement to establish an affordable housing trust fund.
The National Affordable Housing Trust Fund Act (HR 2349) is sponsored by Rep. Bernie Sanders of Vermont. If passed, it will use the surplus from the Federal Housing Administration, estimated at $26 billion over the next seven years, to establish the trust fund. Farr is a co-sponsor of the bill.
